CyberMiner campers will enjoy hands-on computing in a variety of fields, including the following:

  • Computer Engineering—The computer engineering program is designed to prepare an engineer to work in both the abstract software world, where high-level languages and more complexity will often provide a solution to a problem, and in the physical world, where designs are often compromises between many opposing factors.
  • Computer Science—Helps students reach their full potential by providing them with the knowledge and preparation necessary to meet the challenges of designing and developing computing software systems and algorithms. Students receive excellent technical education as well as learning experiences specifically designed to develop the problem-solving skills so necessary for success in the computing profession.
  • Information Science and Technology—There is great demand for IT professionals who have both strong technical knowledge and a broad understanding of business. These individuals are needed to implement and manage the technology that supports business processes, managerial decision-making, and organizational communication.

Some of the activities you will be doing at camp:

  • Building a Robot
  • Programming a Robot
  • Taking Apart a Computer
  • Putting a Computer Together
  • Participating in an AI Forum
  • Learning About Microcontrollers
